Description - Two-semester curriculum map created for both 7th and 8th grade.
Rational - Seventh grade explores 2D visual art and design creating portraits and working with poster design. Eighth grade explores mathematical drawings and logo design.

Literacy Lesson
Description - Literacy lesson to accompany HOIC lesson plan
Rational - My HOIC lesson covered the watercolor artists of Emma Larrson, Enya Todd, Elise Morris, and Briana Kranz, and how they used various watercolor techniques in their art. This Literacy lesson is used to evoke conversation in students when discussing art.

Unit Plan
Description - In this unit plan, students will work with poster design around the theme of environmental awareness. This is a high school lesson plan.
Rational - Students will look at the artwork of Steffen Kraft and how he mixes artwork and social and environmental issues. Students will then choose their own environmental issue, find an organization that supports this issue, and create a poster design around this while mixing both text and imagery.

Description: This semester I have been playing around with Skillshare. I have taken a few different "classes" in photography and art for kids.
Rationale: This website is so nice to have as a resource for educators. If there was a topic I felt uneasy about, you probably can find a class on that subject here on the website. The only downfall is you do have to pay for it after your free trial is up. I felt that I know quite a bit about photography but just brushing up is always needed and just seeing what is new out there is so helpful with staying relevant.

Saving Banksy
Description: Documentary on Amazon Prime following the art of Banksy.
Rationale: I wouldn't say that Banksy is one of my favorite artists but I am fascinated with how he creates his art and how he stays hidden. This documentary follows his artwork around the world and asks questions related to vandalism or art, and whether or not it should be taken and sold or left as is.

E-Learning
Description: Since March 16th, I have been teaching my 5th-8th visual arts classes online through Google Classroom
Rationale: Instead of teaching in a traditional classroom, we are now teaching online. Every week I post resources and assignments on Google classroom for my 5th-8th grade students to be working in. We are also constantly emailing and chatting with our students to stay in contact with them and helping them through anything we can.
